When chocolate meets rum and peach bows to rosemary, desserts worthy of awards are born. This is the case of the 2025 new Panettone PeachMary® and the Tosa BlackHabana® cake, stars of the Merano Wine Festival and winners of the prestigious WineHunter Gold Award bestowed by the official WineHunter Commissions, chaired by Helmuth Köcher.

Gold and Red Awards: Dario Loison’s winning quartet

The 2025 novelty, Panettone PeachMary®, is an unusual encounter between the sunny sweetness of peach and the boldness of rosemary, an aromatic herb rarely found in desserts. After more than two years of research and testing, a unique leavened creation was born: a soft dough enriched with semi-candied peaches and rosemary notes, completed by a peach cream that brings roundness and freshness.
The Tosa BlackHabana® cake represents the evolution of Loison’s pastry art: an elegant combination of single-origin cru chocolate and rum, with three layers that enhance its complexity—cocoa shortcrust, dark ganache, and chocolate frangipane. A dessert designed for a refined and intense sensory experience.
At the same time, the Canestrello BlackHabana® and Canestrello Caramel cookies have also received the WineHunter Red Award, confirming that Loison’s excellence extends well beyond traditional leavened bakery products, offering pleasure throughout the year. The Canestrello BlackHabana® reinterprets the classic cookie with cru chocolate and an aromatic hint of rum, providing an authentic and contemporary delight.

This constant presence demonstrates not only the excellence of its products but also the company’s ability to innovate while respecting tradition, year after year, earning the appreciation of the official Commissions led by Helmuth Köcher.

Loison Pasticceri dal 1938
Simple roots, genuine ingredients, traditional desserts: on these values is founded the history of the Loison family, four generations of pastry chefs from Costabissara, in the province of Vicenza. It all began in 1938 with grandfather Tranquillo, the first to love the art of baking and to pass it on to his son Alessandro. Together they transformed the family bakery into an artisanal business, opening a new workshop in 1969.

Since 1992, Dario Loison has led the company, now joined by his son Edoardo, keeping the artisanal spirit alive while expanding internationally, always with an eye toward the future. Alongside them, Sonia Pilla, Dario’s wife and art director of Sonia Design, designs Loison’s packaging as true works of art: each package tells a story of beauty, culture, and territory.

Every Loison creation is the result of passion, time, and research: the desserts come to life from live sourdough through a slow 72-hour process using carefully selected ingredients, including renowned excellence such as Slow Food Presidia.

The figures of Loison Pasticceri tell of an artisanal company with a deeply international spirit: for over 30 years, it has exported worldwide, with 65% of turnover generated abroad in more than 70 countries; 98% of production carries the Loison label, synonymous with gourmet value. With over 600 direct clients around the globe, the company stands out for its short supply chain and relationships built on trust and transparency with its partners.
