Loison Honoured by Italia a Tavola
Presented in Fermo during Tipicità, the award celebrates almost ninety years of generational continuity, where product culture, innovation and openness to international markets come together.
Behind the recognition awarded to Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 lies a story of family, enterprise and international vision. On March 7, during Tipicità in Fermo, the company received the award “Food Families – A Heritage of Humanity” from the publication Italia a Tavola.
The award honours businesses that, through the work of several generations, have succeeded in preserving and renewing a heritage made up of gastronomic culture, identity and entrepreneurial ability. This is precisely the path followed by Loison Pasticceri, whose story began in 1938 with Tranquillo Loison’s bakery in Motta di Costabissara and has now reached its fourth generation.
The company is led by Dario Loison, alongside Edoardo Loison, in a family continuity that has transformed an artisan workshop into a brand recognised well beyond Italian and European borders. The figures describe an artisan company with a deeply international outlook: Loison has been exporting worldwide for more than 30 years and is now present in over 75 countries, with exports accounting for 65% of its business.
What sets the company apart, however, is not only its presence in international markets, but also the strength of its brand: 98% of its production is sold under the Loison name, confirming the identity value built over time around its gourmet brand. This positioning is also reflected in its commercial model, based on a short supply chain and direct relationships: more than 600 direct clients worldwide are managed without intermediaries, through relationships shaped by trust, transparency and continuity.
The recognition granted by Italia a Tavola highlights exactly this: a family’s ability to build a business by bringing together memory and innovation, product quality and a contemporary vision. In Loison’s case, this means carefully selected ingredients and Slow Food Presidia, attention to detail, aesthetic research in packaging, and a consistent strategy that has given Italian fine pastry a distinctive voice abroad as well.
In almost ninety years of activity, Loison has built solid and distinctive growth, founded on product culture but also on the ability to evolve, maintaining a strong bond with its territory while opening up to the world with a personal and recognisable entrepreneurial style.
The award received at Tipicità therefore stands as recognition not only of Loison’s entrepreneurial journey, but also of a model of Italian family business capable of representing, in Italy and abroad, an idea of quality that brings together tradition, identity and future.
