Elegance Collection: Four Colomba Flavors and Packaging That Lasts

A proposal that continues beyond the tasting: a one-kilogram colomba presented in a refined embossed cotton bag, reusable and perfect for everyday life.

The project bears the signature of Sonia Design and reflects Dario Loison’s approach: turning packaging into something made to last.

For Easter 2026, the Elegance Collection returns as a recognizable statement: it interprets the gift not as a one-off gesture, but as an object with a second life. The idea is simple and contemporary: to combine the pleasure of a traditional leavened cake with attention to detail, transforming the packaging into an accessory for daily use. It is the logic of a “gift within the gift,” where aesthetics and function go hand in hand, with the design vision of Sonia Design and a concept clearly expressed by Dario Loison: “We have transformed packaging into something more than a simple wrapping: an object that remains and finds a place in people’s everyday lives.

The colomba: four interpretations, one artisanal identity

At the center is the one-kilogram Easter colomba, offered in four variations designed to appeal to different tastes while preserving the same thread of artisanal expertise: Regal Chocolate (since 2000) for cocoa lovers; Classic A.D. 1552 (since 2003), an expression of tradition; Mandarin (since 2005), made with Late Ciaculli Mandarin (Slow Food Presidium) for those seeking citrus notes; Apricot and Basil (since 2024), an unexpected meeting of fruity sweetness and aromatic freshness.
Giving coherence to the collection is also a production process that values time and sourdough starter (72 hours), beginning with a dough created to deliver softness, distinct aromas, and elegant balance on the palate.

The packaging: a reusable accessory designed to last

The distinctive hallmark of Elegance is its packaging: a multi-use embossed cotton bag, durable and washable, designed for a variety of practical uses. Not a box to put away, but an accessory to carry with you: a neat storage bag for linens and swimwear, a practical shoe bag for travel, a case for small garments or personal items in the wardrobe. The decorative detail – the bow with pearl, an iconic element cherished by the creative direction – completes the concept of understated elegance that continues after the tasting experience. Available in three classic shades (green, light blue, and lilac), the bag becomes part of the gift itself: useful, long-lasting, and consistent with Loison’s long-standing commitment to reusability as a defining trait and a tangible response to the demand for sustainability.

In the colombe of the Elegance Collection, ingredient selection is the result of continuous care and research. We favor raw materials with certified origin and, whenever possible, Italian provenance, especially for those used fresh. Hence the choice of eggs from controlled farms, fresh mountain milk and butter, fine flour, and Italian sugar. This approach allows us to offer an authentic, consistent, and immediately recognizable Made in Italy product.

Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 – Company Profile

Simple roots, genuine ingredients, traditional sweets: these values form the foundation of the Loison family history, four generations of pastry chefs from Costabissara, in the province of Vicenza. It all began in 1938 with grandfather Tranquillo, the first to love the art of baking and to pass it on to his son Alessandro. Together they transformed the family oven into an artisanal business, inaugurating a new laboratory in 1969.

Since 1992, Dario Loison has led the company, in recent years joined by his son Edoardo, keeping the artisanal dimension alive while expanding presence in international markets, always looking to the future. Alongside them, Sonia Pilla, Dario’s wife and art director of Sonia Design, curates the packaging as true works of art: each package is designed to tell a story of beauty, culture and territory.

Every Loison creation is the result of passion, time and research: the cakes come to life from living sourdough, through a slow 72-hour production process with extremely selected ingredients, including recognized excellences such as Slow Food Presidiums.

Loison Pasticceri’s figures tell the story of an artisanal reality with a deeply international spirit: for over 30 years the company has exported worldwide, with 65% of exports reaching more than 75 direct countries; 98% of production is under the Loison brand, synonymous with “value” in the Gourmet segment. With over 600 direct clients worldwide, the company stands out for its short supply chain and its relationship of trust and transparency with customers and suppliers.
