Loison Winter Catalogue: 175 pages narrating Christmas between craftsmanship and innovation

The theme for 2024 is the winter atmosphere, showcased in a catalogue that is renewed twice a year and reveals 18 collections divided into 4 product lines. It is enriched with warm images that take you to the heart of tradition.

Not just Panettone, but a 360-degree exploration of Biscuits, Cakes, Veneziane, Loaves, and Panettone slices.

This monograph recounts, with dates and facts, the brand’s digital foresight, reveals the numbers behind its international success, and documents its concrete commitment to sustainability.

2024 CHRISTMAS THEME: WINTER ATMOSPHERES AND MAGIC

Each new Loison catalogue is a sweet and evocative discovery, and the Winter 2024 edition is no exception, with its forest green cover immediately introducing the Christmas theme: Winter Atmospheres.

For Sonia Pilla – Loison’s art director and designer behind the Sonia Design brand, as well as Dario Loison’s wife – winter is an enchanted world, where snow blankets the earth in a soft embrace, like a protective mother. It is a time of tranquility, silence, and reflection. A moment to retreat to one’s nest, a warm and welcoming home, surrounded by memories of the past and dreams for the future.

BEYOND PANETTONE: AN INVITATION TO EXPLORE LOISON’S ENTIRE SWEET UNIVERSE

An immersive experience spread across 175 pages in a catalogue signed by Sonia Design. More than just a sales tool, it is a true monograph, much like haute couture collections, renewed twice a year, unveiling 18 collections divided into 4 product lines: Top, Magnum, Pastry and Tuttigiorni.

In addition to the Christmas leavened products that have made Loison Pasticceri famous worldwide, the new catalogue invites you to explore the Loison universe in its entirety: from butter biscuits to cakes, loaves to Veneziana and irresistible Panettone slices.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF STORIES THAT BRING US TO THE HEART OF TRADITION

The introductory photos in the Winter 2024 Catalogue are not just images but true stories to discover. Each shot radiates warmth, an invitation to serenity, a plunge into the heart of tradition. It begins with images of Dario and Sonia, united by a smile in two portraits that speak of shared dreams and milestones achieved after a long journey together. This image testifies to the unity and dedication at the heart of every Loison creation.

Then, there’s the photo of the mother yeast, the undisputed star of Loison’s leavened products, emerging wrapped in cloth like a precious treasure, a symbol of life that is born and continually renewed. Furthermore, the images of the precious ingredients are surrounded by kitchen tools from the past, which tell stories of handed down recipes, of skilful gestures, of authentic flavours. Because for Loison baking desserts is an art that feeds on love and patience.

Every page and photograph in the Winter 2024 catalogue is a fragment of a world made of intoxicating scents, genuine flavors, and human warmth. It is a world that Loison invites you to explore, page by page, savoring the tradition and passion embedded in every creation.

THE NUMBERS BEHIND LOISON’S SUCCESS

Available both in print and online, the Winter 2024 catalogue also narrates, in English and French, the key milestones of Loison’s history from 1938 to today. The impressive numbers, unusual for a business with an artisanal dimension, attest to its international vocation: more than 70 countries won over by its flavors; 97% of products made under the Loison brand, synonymous with quality and authenticity; over 500 direct customers worldwide, proof of a short supply chain and a relationship of trust and transparency with its partners; over €13 million in revenue, with 63% of direct sales abroad, confirming Loison Pasticceri’s international orientation.

LOISON AND SUSTAINABILITY: A CONCRETE AND DOCUMENTED COMMITMENT SINCE 2007

In addition to unveiling the secrets of a slow and meticulous production process (72 hours to make a Loison Panettone), the new Winter Catalogue highlights Loison’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. Loison Pasticceri has been a pioneer in sustainable management, with continuous, concrete, and documented efforts:

  • Since 1995, Loison has been part of the Slow Food movement, aiming to protect small, excellent gastronomic productions threatened by industrial agriculture, environmental degradation, and standardization.
  • Since 2007, its water treatment plant processes 1,300 m³ of wastewater annually.
  • Since 2007, Loison has applied the BRC Food Standard to its production, ensuring compliance with the legal and technical standards in Italy, Europe, and non-EU countries.
  • In 2011, a 99 kW photovoltaic plant was built.
  • In 2017, the photovoltaic plant was expanded to 144 kW, covering 50% of the company’s energy needs and reducing CO2 emissions equivalent to planting 3,750 new trees.

Loison’s environmental sustainability is also reflected in its packaging choices: Loison shoppers, for example, are made from PET recycled from plastic bottles. Moreover, Loison is deeply committed to the art of reuse, with packaging and accessories designed for a second life.

DIGITAL FORESIGHT AND CRAFTSMANSHIP: LOISON’S ONLINE EVOLUTION

The Winter Catalogue dedicates ample space to its web presence, which began in 1996. Even then, Loison distinguished itself for its foresight, anticipating the digital age with an institutional website in English, though it only had six pages. Over the years, this digital pioneer has expanded its online presence to include six dedicated digital platforms, each focusing on a specific aspect of the Loison universe: insolitopanettone.com, biscottiloison.com, museum.loison.com, loison.com.press-release, papers.loison.com, and shop.loison.com, representing a model of technological innovation.

A new feature at Loison is the Alexa skill, which explains how Loison’s sweets are baked, highlighting the selected ingredients and attention to detail. Using a device with a screen, it’s possible to view photos of the sweets, ingredients, production process, and packaging, which are unique works of art. At the end of the “tour,” the skill sends a discount code via email for direct purchases on Loison’s online shop (shop.loison.com), available in 10 EU countries. Finally, the Loison brand strengthens its reputation with a dedicated Wikipedia page, documenting objective information about the company’s history since 1997, awards, recognitions, and a complete bibliography of publications citing and celebrating Loison.
