Two books, one vision: Dario Loison between hospitality and panettone worldwide
In “99+1 per l’Ospitalità” by Federico Menetto and “Fatto a Fette” by Anna Prandoni, Dario Loison’s experience contributes to reflections on business that connect hospitality, craftsmanship, and an international outlook. Menetto’s book will be officially presented at SIGEP on Monday, 19 January at 11:00, with the author and publisher Manfredi Nicolò Maretti.
Dario Loison’s thinking and experience are explored in two publications which, from different perspectives, reflect on the role of business as a space for relationships, culture, and responsibility.

“99+1 per l’Ospitalità” by Federico Menetto
In “99+1 per l’Ospitalità” by Federico Menetto (Maretti Editore, 2026), Dario Loison contributes the text “Respect as the Foundation of Hospitality”, a reflection that frames hospitality as a daily practice grounded in transparency, listening, and attention to relationships. In his account, respect becomes an operational criterion: it guides internal processes, the way the company communicates, and the design of a product conceived to welcome and build trust. Hospitality thus emerges as a tangible expression of a responsible business culture.
“99+1 per l’Ospitalità” will be officially presented at SIGEP, Rimini Expo Centre, in a talk hosted by the author Federico Menetto and publisher Manfredi Nicolò Maretti. The presentation is scheduled for Monday, 19 January 2026 at 11:00 at the stand: CALLEBAUT – Masters of Taste.

“Fatto a Fette – How and Why Panettone Tells the Story of the World”, by Anna Prandoni
This approach finds a natural continuation in Anna Prandoni’s book “Fatto a Fette – How and Why Panettone Tells the Story of the World” (Cinquesensi Editore, 2025). In the chapter “The Lombardy–Veneto Panettone. Dario Loison – Glocal Vision,” the author traces Dario Loison’s path as an entrepreneur able to unite family history with strategic vision. Panettone becomes the heart of a project that combines research into raw materials with adherence to the Slow Food Presidia. Alongside the product emerge the role of packaging as an extension of the story—and as an object designed to be reused—attention to environmental sustainability, and an early digital strategy focused on transparency and service. A model in which panettone transcends seasonality and establishes itself as an identity-driven language, recognizable on international markets as well.
Two different books, one shared thread: the idea that the product is never an end in itself, but a means through which to build relationships, identity, and meaning.

Loison Pasticceri dal 1938
Simple roots, genuine ingredients, traditional sweets: these values are the foundation of the Loison family story—four generations of pastry makers from Costabissara, in the province of Vicenza. It all began in 1938 with grandfather Tranquillo, the first to fall in love with the art of baking and to pass it on to father Alessandro. Together, they transformed the family bakery into an artisanal business, inaugurating a new laboratory in 1969.
Since 1992, Dario Loison has led the company, in recent years joined by his son Edoardo, keeping the artisanal dimension alive while expanding its presence on international markets—always with an eye on the future. Alongside them, Sonia Pilla—Dario’s wife and art director at Sonia Design—curates Loison’s packaging as true works of art: each box is conceived to tell a story of beauty, culture, and place.
Every Loison creation is the result of passion, time, and research: the cakes come to life from living sourdough starter through a slow, 72-hour process using extremely carefully selected ingredients, including recognized excellences such as the Slow Food Presidia.
Loison Pasticceri’s figures tell the story of an artisanal company with a deeply international spirit: for over 30 years it has exported worldwide, with 65% of sales abroad across more than 75 countries; 98% of production under the Loison brand, synonymous with gourmet brand value. With over 600 direct clients worldwide, the company stands out for a short supply chain and a relationship of trust and transparency with its clients and suppliers.
