Motore Italia Awards and Golosaria honor Loison: the Venetian dessert that speaks to the world

Dario Loison recognized by Class Editori and Massobrio–Gatti for his international vision and his ability to express Made in Italy through artisanal excellence

Two prestigious awards, just a few days apart, celebrate Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 as one of the symbolic examples of Veneto’s excellence and of Made in Italy around the world. The pastry laboratory in Costabissara (Vicenza) continues to stand out for its ability to combine deep roots and global reach, bringing the culture of Italian artisanal desserts to more than 70 countries.

The first recognition came on Wednesday, October 29, at Palazzo Repeta in Vicenza, during “Motore Italia – The Businesses that Drive the Country – Veneto,” the fourth stage of the national project by Class Editori dedicated to companies that represent the strength and vitality of Italy’s productive fabric.

An integral part of the event was the presentation of the “Motore Italia Veneto Awards 2025,” awards dedicated to SMEs and Professionals who have distinguished themselves the most in recent years based on objective data.
On this occasion, Dario Loison received the Export Award by Capital, an honor celebrating Veneto-based companies capable of excelling in international markets for solidity, performance, and brand value.

This recognition is a great source of pride for us, as it rewards over thirty years of commitment to international markets and a vision that blends craftsmanship with innovation,” says Dario Loison. “Today our desserts reach more than 70 countries worldwide, with a 2024 turnover of 13 million euros, 65% of which comes from exports. The fact that 98% of our production carries the Loison brand demonstrates the strength of a gourmet identity recognized and appreciated globally. With over 600 direct clients and a streamlined supply chain built on trust, transparency, and long-lasting relationships, we continue to bring the culture of Italian taste to the world, while staying true to our artisanal roots.

To this important milestone was added, on November 1 in Milan, the “Campioni ilGolosario 2026” award, presented by Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti during Golosaria, where Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 was recognized as an “interpreter of the Taste of Contemporaneity”:
Present since the very beginning in the Guide to the Good Things of Italy, Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 is a champion of Italian quality, also expressed in constant research that makes an iconic traditional product innovative.”

With these two recognitions, Loison Pasticceri dal 1938 confirms its role as an ambassador of Italian taste and confectionery culture, able to enhance its roots while always looking to the future. It is a family story that continues to grow, transforming artisanal expertise into a universal language of elegance and quality.

Loison Pasticceri dal 1938
Simple roots, genuine ingredients, traditional desserts: these are the values at the foundation of the Loison family story—four generations of pastry-makers from Costabissara, in the province of Vicenza. It all began in 1938 with grandfather Tranquillo, the first to embrace the art of baking and pass it on to his son Alessandro. Together, they transformed the family oven into an artisanal business, inaugurating a new laboratory in 1969.

Since 1992, Dario Loison has led the company, and in recent years he has been joined by his son Edoardo, keeping the artisanal dimension alive while expanding the company’s presence in international markets with an eye always on the future. Alongside them is Sonia Pilla, Dario’s wife and the art director of Sonia Design, who creates Loison’s packaging as true works of art: every box is crafted to tell a story of beauty, culture, and territory.

Every Loison creation is the result of passion, time, and research: the desserts are born from live sourdough, through a slow 72-hour process using carefully selected ingredients, including recognized excellences such as Slow Food Presidia.

The numbers behind Loison Pasticceri tell the story of an artisanal company with a profoundly international spirit: for over 30 years it has been exporting worldwide, with 65% of sales generated abroad in more than 70 countries; 98% of production carries the Loison brand, synonymous with gourmet value. With over 600 direct clients across the globe, the company stands out for its short supply chain and for a relationship of trust and transparency with its partners.
